The success of any remote application depends on moving information back and forth to your Navision database.  Managing what information gets sent to the remote application and where returning data ends up is of critical importance.  Traditionally this has been done with custom created data export and import programs.

Unfortunately, creating a custom import/export program for each remote application and Navision database implementation can be very time consuming and expensive. It can also be a support nightmare every time something is updated or changed on either end.   In order to eliminate the need for custom import/export programs, GoIntegration created Universal DataPipe NE.  UDPNE handles the task of moving data in and out of Navision, to and from another database environment.  UDPNE can be used as middleware to connect your Navision database to a multitude of other applications, databases or devices. 

UDPNEs’ unique Record Builder/Mapping tool allows users to link data fields from their Navision system to the desired field in a remote application database and visa-versa.  UDPNE also allows users to indicate the direction data will flow (to remote, to Navision, or both) as well as the frequency.   Any data element within a Navision database can be synchronized with a remote application’s database.  Users can even assign default values and define lookups to other tables so that fields in the target database can be properly filled in regardless of where the needed data element comes from.
